As a Diverse Communities Outreach Worker, your job will be to provide high quality support, risk assessment, information and advocacy to clients from Black, Asian or Minoritised Communities who have experienced domestic abuse. The role, funded by the National Lottery, is intended to undertake active engagement work with community organisations and individuals, raising awareness of domestic abuse, BWA services and reducing barriers for survivors who may find it harder to access services. Your role is to empower our clients, keeping the safety of them and their children central to our interventions. We are looking for an individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and is committed to building strong relationships with a wide range of professional agencies.
The ideal candidate will be fluent in another language other than English, representative of our local communities. They will have experience of working in a confidential and safeguarding environment, and have an understanding of domestic abuse and its impact on families. A full driving license and access to transport is desirable
