PACT’s Women’s Community Project is an innovative women’s community solution that uses a holistic approach to support women by empowering them to take control of their lives, make informed decisions and improve their life chances.
We are looking for a Support Worker to join the team. You will hold a case load of women and be involved in regular outcomes-focussed one to one support work and group based sessions. You will be expected to do support plans, follow-up meetings, write reports, make referrals to partners organisations and other local agencies, lead groups and facilitate drop-ins. While currently based in Reading the role may involve outreach work across Berkshire and the Thames Valley.
You will also have the opportunity to deliver and report on specific funding related activities within the service.
To succeed in this role, you will need sound administrative skills in order to complete measurement tools and reporting and have experience of supporting vulnerable people, enabling them to positive changes in their lives and reduce chaotic lifestyles.
Having regard to the nature and context of the work, there is a genuine occupational requirement permitted under the Equality Act 2010 that this post is only available to female applicants.
