Reading Mencap is seeking a full-time Senior Care Support Worker to become a big part of our small, friendly team working in our activity day service.
As Senior Support Worker you will lead on and develop new activities, which are aimed at contributing to their health and wellbeing, developing independence and creating opportunities for them to develop life skills.
You will also be leader in a small team meeting physical and personal needs as necessary, including the administration and storage of medicine, personal care and everyday living skills.
You will work 37.5 hours a week, 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday only. No weekends or Bank Holidays are worked.
This role would suit someone who is adaptable and non-judgmental and who has good communication skills.
Ideal candidates will also have experience of working with people with learning disabilities.
