The Alliance for Cohesion and Racial Equality (ACRE) seeks someone with energy and passion to be our new Chief Executive.

ACRE exists to promote community empowerment, equality of opportunity and community cohesion in the Greater Reading area. Our programmes include training, needs-based support and well-being activities for the most vulnerable communities.
Responsibilities
You will lead the development of ACRE’s strategy with the Board of Trustees. You will run our operations, supporting our staff and volunteers to deliver the best outcomes. You will ensure the financial viability of ACRE.
You will also:
- Ensure the highest standards of governance, applying across ACRE;
- Oversee safeguarding;
- Monitor key performance indicators and report to the Board, and funders.
Essential:
- Knowledge of the sector
- Strong financial, analytical & communication skills
- Experience in developing business plans and fundraising bids
- Awareness of relevant national and local agendas
Desirable:
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Languages in addition to English
DBS required.
