Health and wellbeing worker – closing date 1 September 2022

We are looking to recruit a committed, compassionate Health & Wellbeing part time worker (18.5hrs a week) for three years based in Reading. You will help in providing support, information and facilitating Health & wellbeing events and activities to the grassroot communities of the BAMER origin.

You will work as part of a small team to empower the grassroot communities with health literacy in order to have a voice in control of their health and wealth thereby fulfilling their potential. This may at times involve working with Female Genital Mutilation and domestic abuse survivors. We are looking for an individual who is able to work in a fast-paced environment and is committed to building strong healthy relationships with a wide range of grassroot communities and mainstream services.

Although based in Reading, the role will cover Berkshire which is our area of operation.

The ideal candidate will have experience of working in a confidential and safeguarding environment and have an understanding of the health & wellbeing needs of the grassroot BAMER communities.
