Advice & Outreach Worker
Main Purpose:
- To provide technical advice to CommuniCare clients in the Advice Centre and at outreach sessions in the town.
- To identify the personal and pastoral support needs of clients and seek to ensure that they are met.
- To ensure accurate records of clients are kept
- To monitor and review client files in line with CommuniCare policy.
- To support CommuniCare Outreach work,
- To ensure CommuniCare standards are adhered to in all Outreach work.
- To support the delivery of the agreed work plan and contribute to the development of the strategy.
To fill the above role we require someone who:
- Has a minimum of 2 years experience in advice work
- Has very good knowledge and understanding of the benefit system.
- Has a proven track record in a similar role.
- Has the ability to work from home if required
- Has good IT skills
- Is able to show enthusiasm and initiative
- The ability to communicate with a wide range of people in a non-judgmental way
Ideally this person will also have:
- A driving licence and their own transport
- Experience of working in the voluntary sector or working with volunteers.
