Community Mentor – closing date 31 August 2022

Starting Point is an exciting project that provides mentoring and creates opportunities for young people who face disadvantage.

A great opportunity has arisen for an individual with previous experience working with young people aged 11–25 (either professional or voluntary) to join our team.

The focus of the Community Mentor role is to engage with young people who have been met in schools and A&E, match them to Volunteer Mentors, and oversee their mentoring journey (e.g. monthly catch ups, updates). The role will also include supporting Starting Point’s other activities such as social groups and shifts as a Navigator in A&E.

This role is part Starting Point’s Schools Navigator and A&E Navigators programmes which creates a relational journey from a young person’s place of education or moment of crisis to thriving within the local community.

Please send your CV together with a covering letter detailing why you are suitable for the role to the HR team. Applications without a covering letter will not be considered for the role.
