We are looking to recruit a committed part time Domestic Abuse Helpline Worker based at our offices in Reading on a hybrid basis. BWA provide Helpline services Monday to Friday (including some evenings) and are currently seeking a team member who is able to work flexibly and, in addition to day time hours on Monday and Tuesday, cover one evening per week and alternate Saturday mornings. On weeks where Saturday mornings are not worked, the team member would work three hours of additional Helpline cover on a day to be agreed.
Helpline is often the first point of contact for survivors and professionals; Helpline Workers undertake a range of tasks including crisis intervention, risk assessments and referrals for those seeking support, as well as providing comprehensive advice to professionals. As part of the helpline team, you will answer calls, respond to voice messages, live chat and emails and collect the monitoring data on our helpline.
