Starting Point is an exciting project that provides mentoring and creates opportunities for young people who face disadvantage.
A great opportunity has arisen for an individual with previous experience working with young people aged 11–25 (either professional or voluntary) to join our team.
The focus of the Schools Mentor role is to mentor young people across 4 local schools and build positive relationships with staff and teachers. Working closely with the Community Mentor, they will help young people access mentoring in the community when the term ends if they need longer-term support, as well as supporting Starting Point’s other activities such as social groups.
This role is part Starting Point’s Schools Navigator programme which creates a relational journey from a young person’s place of education to thriving within the local community.
Please send your CV together with a covering letter detailing why you are suitable for the role to the HR team. Applications without a covering letter will not be considered for the role.
*One year contract (possibility to extend), full-time*
