Reading Borough Council is currently developing a new Adult Social Care Strategy. This strategy will set out how Adult Social Care will improve its services, based on what people tell us about their experiences and what the Care Quality Commission (CQC) has highlighted as important.
One of the priority areas in the strategy is Accessibility of Information and Services. This is about how easy (or difficult) it is for people to find information, understand what support is available, and access Adult Social Care when they need help.
We would like to invite you to take part in a workshop to help us better understand people’s general experiences of accessing Adult Social Care in Reading.
The purpose of the consultation is to:
- Understand how people currently find information and access support
- Hear what feels clear and helpful, and what feels confusing or difficult
- Explore what good access looks like from different perspectives
- Use this learning to help shape the Accessibility section of the Adult Social Care Strategy
The session will be informal and interactive. You do not need any special knowledge to take part.
We welcome residents, carers, community and voluntary organisations, partner organisations and Adult Social Care staff to attend.
If you have any questions, accessibility needs, or would like to confirm your attendance, please contact Jaqi Redgewell at jackylen.redgewell@reading.
We would very much value your perspective and hope you are able to join us.
