Youth Worker (Part Time) – closing date 1 December 2025

Cianna’s Smile supports families in the UK impacted by Sickle Cell, helping reduce isolation, improve understanding of the condition, and empower children and young people to thrive. We are a volunteer-led charity and we are now seeking a Youth Worker to join our team for 15 hours per week on a one-year contract.

The Youth Worker will build trusting relationships with children and young people aged 9–25, creating safe, supportive spaces where they can develop confidence, life skills, and social connections. Key responsibilities include planning and delivering weekly youth groups, creative activities, interest-based sessions, and family support activities. The role also involves providing emotional support, facilitating discussions, and developing projects shaped by young people’s needs and ideas. You will work closely with families, other professionals, and the Cianna’s Smile team to provide holistic support and ensure young people have the resources and opportunities they need to manage their health and feel empowered.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, creative, patient, and confident working with young people. Experience in youth work, safeguarding, group facilitation, and community settings is beneficial, along with an understanding of the challenges faced by those living with Sickle Cell.
