Youth Worker – closing date 8 February 2019

Berkshire Youth is looking for inspired, suitable and committed youth work team members to work across a variety of communities in Berkshire in both school and detached settings.

The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate experience in:

  • Identifying and positively engaging with young people who are at risk of not reaching their full potential, actively engaging with them and promoting positive activities.
  • Developing new initiatives that support community need and provide a more diverse range of opportunities for young people.
  • Working with young people in detached youth work environment, supporting their progression towards their goals.

The successful applicants must be flexible to work evenings and weekends, and plan according to client/service needs. Berkshire Youth is committed to the protection and safeguarding of children, young people and vulnerable adults. Successful candidates will undertake an enhanced DBS check and references.

Interviews: 19 and 20 February 2019.

This post is an initial 1-year contract funded through Thames Valley Police & Crime Commissioner and funding from Home Office Early Intervention Youth Fund.
