Red Balloon-Reading, which recovers severely bullied and traumatised children, seeks a Student Support Assistant.

Applicants should be educated to GCSE level, with experience of working with children and young people. The successful candidate will support students in their academic and creative work, accompany them on trips, initiate sporting and other activities, and act as a listener and mentor when appropriate in this unique learning and restorative community. A particular interest in PE and/or outdoor learning would be preferable but not essential.

The main responsibilities are to be a participating member of the community, to support the philosophy of Red Balloon, help with day-to-day duties and to co-operate with the staff in running the Centre.
