Service Manager – closing date 7 March 2020

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a well-established small charity. We are looking for an experienced and passionate leader to be Service Manager at Resolve (Berkshire and Oxfordshire Mediation Service). You will lead a small team of dedicated office staff and experienced mediators, many of whom are volunteers, delivering mediation and training services.

You will be responsible for leading the delivery and funding of Resolve’s activities, working with the Management Committee to agree strategy and business plans and will provide leadership to the office team and Mediators. You will be responsible for managing the finances, securing funding through developing and maintaining relationships with customer organisations and agencies. You will have scope to grow our services and develop new sources of income.

You will be an experienced leader with a track record of effectively managing teams, delivering success and developing business, ideally in the voluntary sector. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, be self motivated, enthusiastic and self aware. Experience or knowledge of mediation is highly desirable.

The role is 14 hours per week, and is based at our office on the University of Reading campus but you will be expected to travel to meet relevant stakeholders.
