Reading Mencap is launching an exciting new club for young people with learning disabilities aged 18-25 and we are looking for a Club Assistant to help run it.
The Saturday 18 – 25 Club will offer activities including sport, gaming, making music and drama alongside life and social skills to help its members develop greater independence.
The club will be held on a Saturday for 45 weeks of the year at Reading Mencap, Alexandra Road, Reading from 10.30am – 3.30pm.
The Club Assistant will assist the Club Leader and Deputy Leader in running weekly sessions.
Tasks will include carefully supervising clients to get the most out of activities, ensuring volunteers are engaging effectively with club members and helping to plan suitable activities.
The Club Assistant will also help with the preparation and serving of refreshments and assist with clearing up at the end of each session.
