To support the XOX Project delivery as part of Readipop’s music
programme, including XOX Project music production and recording studio sessions, workshops with young people, outreach and taster workshops in schools, colleges and the local community.
To help promote the XOX Project and XOX lab studio to new audiences, participants and paying clients.
To support the Programme Manager to help arrange sessions, to evaluate, monitor and reflect on sessions, to report on project delivery targets.
N.B. This Job Description gives an overall view of the job and is not a definitive list of tasks.
Have a good working knowledge of classic/vintage music production techniques, be technically proficient with key vintage Roland instruments – eg. Roland TR808, TR909, TB303 etc.
Have a good working knowledge of, and be able to communicate enthusiastically, about classic synths and the history of electronic music production.
Have a good working knowledge of DAWless music production techniques.
Have a good understanding of music production and LogicPro.
Undertake a DBS check.
Experience working with young people/community music is desirable.
Music leaders usually transport workshop equipment to outreach workshops from Readipop Studios to the venues. Mileage will be paid for transporting Readipop kit and/or colleagues to sessions.
