We are looking for a community researcher to work for two days a week (13/11/2023–14/6/2024) on a research project that aims to develop community-led heritage language events. The main part of the project involves talking to community members about what is already happening in the area and what kind of events celebrating community languages people would like to see (e.g. storybook reading sessions, storytelling in different languages, art and singing projects).
The community researcher will be responsible for attending and observing events that are already happening, running individual and group interviews with community members, transcribing interview data, and helping community members in the p organisation of new events.
The successful candidate will:
- Be a community researcher with an understanding of the dynamics of Oxford Road
- Have experience running individual or group interviews for research purposes
- Have good communication skills
- Have good time management skills
The salary is approximately £1,130 per month gross (will differ slightly per month).
