We are looking to recruit a committed Children and Young People’s Worker based in Reading but providing services across BWA service areas and refuges including Bracknell, West Berkshire and Wokingham. We are looking for an individual who has an understanding of domestic abuse and is able to manage, organise and deliver sessions to children and young people, whist supporting their welfare and empowering them in their recovery from domestic abuse.
Your role will involve gaining consent from care takers and completing risk assessments for those referred to our programmes, and ensuring our administrative processes and safeguarding policies are adhered to at all times. We are looking for an individual who is experienced in one-to-one and group work with children and young people and able to work in a fast-paced environment and is committed to building strong relationships with a wide range of professional agencies.
A full driving licence and/or easy access to transport is essential
An enhanced DBS check will be required for the successful candidate for this role.
