Support U are on the look out for a strong story teller to help us identify, prepare and submit fantastic bids and grant applications to potential funders with the aim of securing a long term sustainable income stream for the organisation.

Role requirements

Produce professionally written proposals, bids and grant applications that superbly articulates the organisations value proposition. This is a highly networked role that requires a forensic attention to detail, the ability to work under pressure and demanding deadlines. The Bid/Grant Writer will need to have a timely completion of funding applications for the Charity to deliver sustainable income to support the delivery of our charitable aims. The Bid/Grant Writer is involved in all Bid/Grant Lifecycle stages.

Key deliverables
  • Scope, research and identify suitable grant/bid funding opportunities through a variety of sources.
  • Deliver compelling written proposal responses to the questions and bid information requests.
Skills required
  • Knowledge of the LGBT+ Charity Sector (Desirable).
  • Ability to communicate and influence at a senior level.
  • Excellent time management/prioritisation skills.
  • Forensic attention to detail and meticulous proof-reading skills.
Experience

Previous Bid Writing/Grant Writing for the Charity Sector.
