Befriending Development Co-ordinator – 8 December 2022

The work of befriending volunteers, the Befriending Service and leading on the recruitment, training and deployment of volunteers supporting the Befriending Service

This key post will be given a high degree of responsibility and accountability to deliver and manage day-to-day the Befriending Service and to develop the Service to help make Reading a great place to grow old.

Would suit someone who is highly organised and used to working closely with people. There is a large element of training and co-ordinating volunteers. You will need good IT skills to stay in touch and ensure records are up to date, and easy to interpret for quarterly reports.

You will work alone on the project but with support from the CEO, other Age UK Co-ordinators and our partners in the other major Befriending organisations.
