A&E Community Mentor – closing date 15 January 2023

Starting Point is an exciting project that provides mentoring and creates opportunities for young people who face disadvantage.
A great opportunity has arisen for an individual with previous experience working with young people aged 11–25 (either professional or voluntary) to join our team.
The focus of the A&E and Community Mentor role is to engage with young people who have been met in A&E, match them to Volunteer Mentors, and oversee their mentoring journey (e.g. monthly catch ups, updates). The role will also include supporting Starting Point’s other activities such as shifts as a Navigator in A&E and supporting with social groups for young people.

Why join Starting Point?

  • Friendly and supportive culture
  • Clear pathways for progression as the project grows
  • Team afternoons and meals
  • Time owed in lieu for any extra hours worked
  • Home working for admin time if preferred
