Growing season is just round the corner!

Have you ever thought of trying your hand at growing veg but don’t want to do it on your own?

Would you like to learn a useful new skill? Or meet new people and get out in the fresh air?

If you enjoy growing you are very welcome to join our friendly group of volunteers at Ardler Road allotments in Caversham.

We produce veg for New Beginnings and the community larder at the Weller Centre, and it goes free of charge to those who need it.

Last year we supplied more than 70kg of spuds, squash, courgettes, beans, onions, garlic, salad and soft fruit.

On our tidy-up days we’ll be doing a few early spring jobs and planting some onions.
