Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) training – ‘New to the role’

This training is hosted by Brighter Futures fir Children (RBC) and is for those who are new to the role. There is a separate refresher training if you have already completed this training in the past.

Course outcomes:

Have you recently been appointed Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)? This course will help clarify your role and responsibilities and develop your confidence in protecting the children and young people.

You will learn about:
– Key responsibilities as a DSL in your organisation
– Escalating concerns, referrals and the multi agency process
– The role of Local Authority Designated Office (LADO)and safer recruitment
– Developing a safeguarding culture
