ADHD & autism spectrum condition awareness training (free) for frontline staff and volunteers

Wednesday 11 September 2024
A session designed for staff and volunteers, active in local VCOs, looking to develop and enrich their awareness of ADHD and autism spectrum condition.

Reading Voluntary Action has received funding to deliver an in-person 16-month Community Wellbeing Training Programme in our town centre training suite, for health and wellbeing practitioners (open to paid staff and volunteers) active in local voluntary and community organisations (VCOs).

AutAngel is a local charity with extensive experience in neurodiversity and will be delivering this half-day session for staff and volunteers in a frontline role. Their trainers are autistic people who are active in the autistic community. They also have extensive experience in the field of education and delivering training.

The session will cover:

  • Overview of ADHD and autism
  • The traits and practical impacts of ADHD and autism
  • Creating environments that support neurodivergent people
  • Recognising the strengths and challenges of neurodivergent people
  • Communication

There will be a short break during session.
