Trustees Week is an annual celebration of Trusteeship across the country and each year Trustees and aspiring trustees can access a range of online and in person webinars and training to help you in your role. Volunteer Trustees are crucial to our sector and this is also an opportunity to celebrate your contribution and share your trustee stories through social media and RVA news. Here’s how you can get involved:

Training

RVA is running an in-person trustee training session on Tuesday 14 November, 10am – 1pm. This popular training session is filling up but we still have a few spaces left. The session is an ideal introduction or refresher to trustee roles and responsibilities and you also have the opportunity to network with other local trustees, which previous attendees highly rate. Find out more and book online here.

Webinars

Getting on Board, a national charity that supports Trustees, is running its Festival of Trusteeship online this year, with one-hour Zoom sessions on topics such as Board diversity, chairing a Board, engaging young people in governance, trustees and fundraising and other useful topics. See the full programme for the week here.  And find out how to book here. You can book for individual sessions at £5 each or a weekly pass for £25, which will also give you access to recordings.

NCVO, another national charity, is offering free 1 hour webinars on Zoom during this week, on similar topics, such as trustee diversity, leading on climate action, and volunteers leading volunteers. See full programme and book online here.

Stories
