Seeking volunteers to help coordinate our campaigns

Coordination / Projects volunteers needed for Green Economics Institute Trust

The Green Economics Institute Trust is a Charity which has influenced global discussions and activities. Our ideas and out of the box thinking has influenced the worlds’ ideas from Green Economics, to womens’ empowerment to climate change ambition in the Paris Agreement of the COP21 United Nations Treaty. We are all volunteers and we dont employ anyone in the charity.

We are seeking a volunteer, to join other team members, to help us support our charity by coordinating and providing administration / project management for our campaigns on social and environmental justice, including climate and biodiversity and anti poverty campaigns and womens empowerment campaigns. We have run many campaigns over the last 18 years and now seek a part time or full time campaigns volunteer to develop this part of our work.

More information about our campaign activities can be found on
http://www.greeneconomicsinstitute.org.uk

and http://www.greeneconomicsinstitutetrust.org

All the volunteering can be done online, by email and zoom and can be part time full time or job share and entirely flexible. We ask that all volunteers meet with our teams and other coordinators on zoom for one hour a week.

Volunteers will need to be able to use word, excel, ppt, pdf and wordpress websites.

We are based in Reading and Berkshire, UK

All the volunteering will need to be compliant with GDPR and confidentiality and we will provide training on this. All the positions will involve volunteering as part of a team as well as having a portfolio of education administration activities for which you will coordinate.

But we look for energy and enthusiasm more than anything else and a willingness and a joy in trying new things and to learn and an open mind to meet the challenges of todays world. We have many team members who are non standard in many different respects.

The charity works by having weekly team meetings on zoom with people from all over the world joining for almost every meeting and additionally using email or meeting in person depending on the covid situation. We keep to all covid protocols and put safety first in all situations and are very risk averse.

The Charity is based in Reading, Berkshire and many of our in person events are in or around Reading and Oxford in the UK as well as Brussels in Belgium and Germany, Brazil and India plus other places. We also attend the United Nations Climate Conferences every year and there are some opportunities to participate in those too for volunteers.

If this fires your imagination please get in touch today- by emailing info@greeneconomicsinstitutetrust.org
