Community Engagement Officer – closing date 1 December 2025

Cianna’s Smile supports and educates families across the UK affected by Sickle Cell, aiming to reduce isolation, empower families, and increase awareness of Sickle Cell and blood donation. We are a volunteer-led charity supported by two part-time staff, and we are now seeking a Community Engagement Officer to join our team for 15 hours per week.

The role involves building connections with community organisations, healthcare teams, referral partners, and stakeholders to bring people impacted by Sickle Cell together. You will help organise events, workshops, and meetings, develop engagement strategies, coordinate community activities, and share information through social media, newsletters, and other channels. You will also represent Cianna’s Smile in the community and identify new opportunities to reach families who may benefit from support.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, community-minded, reliable, and approachable, with strong communication skills. Experience in event coordination, administration, outreach, or networking is beneficial, along with cultural awareness and an understanding of Sickle Cell.

This role is essential to helping Cianna’s Smile grow and ensure families feel supported and connected.
