Reading GOLDERS is a Community Group, serving the needs of the BME over 60s in Reading.
Provides a hot, nourishing meal, and space to alleviate feelings of isolation and Loneliness.
Provides opportunity for Story-telling, Book exchange, Book review, Concerts, Drama and Dance organised by members.
Emphasis is on encouraging Assertiveness, Independence, Confidence.
Digital Literacy is one of the highlights of our Service.
Weekly on-going Exercise Session.
Members encouraged to do dress-making, Sewing, knitting, preparing a meal having no meat, healthy life-style, importance of keeping the body hydrated.
Visiting Speakers re topics such as Dementia, Strokes, Fire Safety, Personal Safety.
Some degree of Advocacy re medical care, Benefits is available.
Outings/Picnics three times a year to popular Markets in England.
