Reading College has been at the forefront of the implementations of the Government’s Skills for Life agenda which aims to improve the standard of literacy and numeracy nationwide. The ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) Department provides high quality, free English language teaching to eligible learners, primarily refugees and asylum seekers, EU migrant workers, spouses of British citizens and many who have been in the UK more than three years.
