Parenthesis came into being as Central Berkshire Parents’ Choir in 1992. We are an informal group of over 50 singers, who enjoy a wide range of music from jazz to oratorio.
We welcome singers of all levels and we do not require an audition. Some members are really good musicians. Others have not sung since their school days.
Not everyone can read music. We have occasional workshops to build confidence and musical skills. We reckon we are the friendliest choir around and we run several social activities throughout the year. There is no compulsion to join in!
We are a non-auditioning choir. Our termly subscription is £50.
We rehearse on Saturday mornings at The Richards Hall in The Abbey School, Kendrick Road, Reading RG1 5DZ. We always welcome new singers. You can try us out whenever you like. Your subscription is only payable after your first half term’s membership.
