The Learning and Employment Service for Reading, providing part-time Adult Leisure Courses at four centres in Reading – teaching includes literacy, English language and basic maths.

Also provides New Directions for Employment – a service which brings together the full range of facilities needed to guide and support you when you are looking for work. Job Search facilities are available at all New Directions centres across Reading and offer many free facilities to assist you in your search for employment, as well as one-to-one services by appointment.

New Directions’ mission is to provide best value adult, family learning and employment opportunities which meet the needs and aspirations of the whole community of Reading.

New Directions’ vision is our door will open a new direction for everyone, either through our own interventions or by appropriate signposting/referral and partnership working.

New Directions’ centres are open 51 weeks of the year during the day time and 36 weeks in the evenings. We aim to deliver provision on demand at a time and location to suit the needs and requirements of our customers.
