Keep Caversham Tidy is a local voluntary organisation dedicated to eliminating litter in Caversham and neighbouring areas to benefit residents and nature. Originally set up by a band of friends in January 2021, we now work with Reading Borough Council and other local community groups to look after the environment.
We meet weekly to clear litter and fly tipping from streets, parks, wooded areas, and along both banks of the River Thames. Volunteers can attend on a casual or regular basis. Keep Caversham Tidy provides the equipment (litter picks, bags, gloves, vests) so volunteers just need to dress for the weather and wear strong footwear. Children and young people (under 18) must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
As well as litter pickers, we are interested in people who can help with promotions.
Notifications about picks are posted on our social media sites and sent out by email.
