GHTV provides mental health support using horticultural therapy interventions to engage and improve client’s symptoms. Clients are members of the community who experience mental health challenges, or who are recovering from or at risk of mental health difficulties. We have a focus on intensive support for a small number of clients which sets us aside from other gardening-based projects.
Clients normally start with one to one support and then, when comfortable, progress to small groups; the key being we progress at a pace that is comfortable for clients.
We have a wonderful garden that clients enjoy and are rightly proud of – after all they have helped create it. We have a great sense of community and clients have a lot of fun!
Sessions run on Tuesday & Thursday mornings and afternoons
