Carebus provide community transport. We are a voluntary organisation managed by a committee representing the local parish communities, our user organisations and our volunteer drivers.
We work in partnership with our local communities, organisations and groups, and we give priority to people who have a disability, people with limited mobility, and people who would otherwise be socially excluded, where it is clear that their needs cannot be met by public transport such as buses, coaches, trains and taxis.
We provide for local groups by operating two modern 10/11 seater wheelchair accessible West Berkshire minibuses.
We have a wheelchair accessible car which carries four seated passengers plus a wheelchair-bound person. We also have volunteer drivers who will also use their own cars to help individual people in need and we are aiming to expand this element of our work.
