This is an exciting opportunity to help deliver a vital volunteering and peer support programme in a mental health charity. You will work within a small team to recruit, train and support volunteers across the organisation, to champion the positive impact of volunteering internally, locally and nationally, and to help grow a creative, impactful and vibrant volunteer service.
Purpose of the job
The Volunteering Facilitator is responsible for supporting the Oxfordshire Mind Volunteering programme, under the direction of the Volunteering Coordinator. This includes recruitment, training, supervision and development of all types of volunteers within the organisation. Oxfordshire Mind has a broad range of volunteer roles, including Peer Support Volunteers, who are people with direct personal experience of mental health conditions who use this in their volunteer role. Volunteering is a vital part of Oxfordshire Mind’s work and can bring important wellbeing and recovery benefits for volunteers. The post holder will liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to maintain a high-quality and agile service.
