Five A Day is a charity based at Englefield estate providing and specialising in horticultural activities. Selling affordable, healthy and naturally grown produce, educating children, adults and older people within an outdoor therapeutic setting in the beautiful village of Englefield.
By generating income through the development and delivery of Horticultural Therapy (HT) sessions and Fee-Paying services you will have a key role in helping Five a Day Garden achieve their 3-year business goal to grow the organisation.
Duties will range from:
• assessing the requirements for new horticultural therapy attendees,
• ensuring the requirements are met for the delivery of our urban schools’ sessions,
• promoting the organisation within the community and other charity forums,
• reaching out to new schools and organisations caring for older people who could benefit from our services,
• promotion of services on social media
You will be a friendly, self-starter able to take initiative and full responsibility and be able to relate to people from a wide range of backgrounds. You’ll have had experience or be interested in the benefits of nature-based activities and ideally have worked or volunteered with people with dementia or young school children.
