Are you a friendly, caring and patient individual who wants to make a real difference in the lives of older people in your community? Do you want to be the positive impact for Berkshire’s older residents at times when they need your help most?

We are seeking a self-motivated, responsible and friendly new member for our Information and Advice team for a six-month period. The team provides information and advice to older people on matters such as welfare benefits, health and social care, housing and local services. This role requires an understanding of the benefits, welfare issue and opportunities but will particularly focus on the needs of those who have been affected by Covid-19 through redundancy, age discrimination, financial and housing issues.

The Information and Advice team provide information and advice to older people their families and their carers via telephone, face to face, email and outreach sessions.

This is an interesting and varied role helping provide information and advice to individual older people, their carers and families. No two days are alike and each day you will be picking up the phone to a variety of callers of different ages and abilities.
