Community Engagement Officer – closing date 28 April 2026

Cianna’s Smile is a volunteer-led UK charity supporting families affected by sickle cell. We work to reduce isolation, provide support, and raise awareness of sickle cell and blood donation.

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Community Engagement Officer to join our small team. You will build relationships with community organisations, healthcare providers, and local partners to connect and support families.

The role involves organising events, workshops, and outreach activities, as well as developing strategies to grow and engage our community—particularly those who face barriers to participation.

You will also create and share content through social media and newsletters, coordinate events, and represent Cianna’s Smile within the community. Identifying new opportunities to reach and support beneficiaries will be key.

The ideal candidate is empathetic, organised, and community-minded, with strong communication skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships. Experience in event coordination, outreach, and basic administration is desirable. Cultural awareness and an understanding of health inequalities are important, along with an interest in or knowledge of sickle cell.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
