Reading Mencap is seeking an CEO to lead our organisation into its next exciting chapter. We’re looking for an exceptional individual who can provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for our charity.

This is a unique opportunity to shape our future, expand our reach and ensure we continue to deliver on our crucial mission to support people with learning disabilities and their families in Reading.

Working closely with the Board of Trustees, you’ll guide our organisation through an exciting period of development, championing our core values and representing us to all key stakeholders.

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement an ambitious strategy
• Lead the organisation through change and growth
• Ensure long-term sustainability
• Identify new opportunities for sponsorship and income generation
• Act as the public face of Reading Mencap

The person we are looking for will have proven experience in a senior leadership role, an understanding of disability rights and equality, specifically for learning disabled people and a strong track record in strategic planning, fundraising and financial management.
