We are seeking a Charity Manager to lead the operational and cultural development of NBR. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will act as the primary liaison between trustees, staff, volunteers, and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and operational oversight across all NBR services
- Line manage and support the Volunteer Coordinator and Operations Manager
- Develop and deliver fundraising strategies, partnerships, and donor engagement
- Ensure compliance with governance, safeguarding, and financial regulations
- Manage finance administration (invoices, reconciliations, petty cash, payroll)
- Support project work including lease negotiations, website updates, and campaigns
- Represent NBR externally at media, corporate, and community events
- Oversee impact reporting, board updates, and annual planning
- Champion a culture of inclusion, care, and excellence
- Work with trustees to evolve NBR’s structure, services, and vision
Person Specification
- Proven leadership experience in charity or community settings
- Strong governance, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- A deep commitment to social justice, inclusivity, and community wellbeing
