Reading Mencap is seeking a Care Support Worker to join our day service team
No two days are the same at ME (Mencap Enables), which provides meaningful activities for adults with learning disabilities. Members choose the activities they would like to do and regularly enjoy dancing, cooking and arts and crafts. The postholder will be part of a small team providing practical assistance including support with activities, personal care and everyday living.
This role would suit someone who enjoys working as part of a small team, who is adaptable and non-judgmental and who has good communication skills. Ideal candidates will also have experience of working with people with learning disabilities or in a caring role with other vulnerable people. There will be an opportunity to study for a formal qualification in care.

- 7 hours a day worked between Monday to Friday. 8.45am – 3.45pm or 9.30am – 4.30pm.
- There will be flexibility on the number of days worked, according to the availability of the applicant and the number of available days vacancies.
- Reading Mencap’s day services are based at 21 Alexandra Road, Reading and St Paul’s Church Hall, 5 – 23 Whitley Wood Lane, Reading.
