Advocacy Services Manager – closing date 18 October 2020

This is a key position within the Healthwatch Reading and Reading Voice Team, where you will lead the development and delivery of advocacy services across Reading. This is a part-time role working 24 hours a week. The current contract term is 17 months which maybe extended dependent on funding.

The applicant will be a qualified advocate and or have relevant experience in advocacy and leading and managing a service. The main duties of this role are to:

  • ensure the rights of the most vulnerable members of our community are upheld
  • manage and work with a team of local advocates and ensure they are appropriately supported
  • work with key stakeholders and statutory partners to ensure services are working in the best way for our community.
