We want to recruit a part-time Adult Autism Mentor, with experience of working in a role supporting autistic people and their families, to work 7 hours per week on a contract basis until October 31 this year, with the possibility of an extension, subject to funding.
This job involves providing Helpline advice and support to autistic adults, attending online autism advice workshops and running monthly face-to-face drop-in problem-solving and advice sessions in Slough.
The role is home-based but the successful applicant will need access to a car and be able to travel to locations across Berkshire to support clients and attend meetings.
An informal discussion about the role and the Berkshire Adult Autism Support Service, prior to application, is strongly encouraged. If interested in taking up this offer, please contact our chief executive Jane Stanford-Beale at ceo@autismberkshire.org.uk or call 07795 807249.
Full details of the role and the online application form are available at https://www.autismberkshire.org.uk/jobs/
The deadline for applications to be submitted is noon on Friday, January 24, but applications may be closed early if enough suitable candidates apply.
Interviews will be held in the week starting Monday, January 27.
