Webinar: Becoming a School Governor in Bracknell Forest, Reading or Wokingham

Wednesday 31 January 2024

Governors for Schools is a national charity committed to helping ensure excellent education for children in schools through effective governance. We are working with Bracknell Forest, Reading and Wokingham councils to find some committed individuals in the area to become school governors and invite you to this webinar to find out how you can get involved.

Volunteering as a school governor is a fantastic way to broaden your skills and network as well as give back to your local community. As a school governor, you will share your experience and expertise to help set the strategic direction of a school. It’s a chance to see the impact of your decisions first-hand. This webinar will cover the role of school governing boards, how our free service works and the training we provide you with both before and after you are appointed as a school governor.

You don’t have to be a parent or work in education to be a school governor. Anyone aged 18 or over can be involved!
