Thames Valley VCSE Alliance Assembly

Thursday 25 June 2026

Join VCSE leaders, NHS colleagues and partners from across the Thames Valley for the Thames Valley VCSE Assembly on Thursday 25 June, 10am-12pm.

As the new NHS Thames Valley Integrated Care Board begins to shape priorities for health and care across the region, this Assembly offers an opportunity to hear directly from system leaders, gain new insight into the VCSE sector and explore how partnership working can improve outcomes for communities.

You’ll hear from:

Sam Burrows
Chief System Development & Engagement Officer, NHS Thames Valley ICB

Sam will discuss the ICB’s emerging mission, priorities and structures, and how the organisation is developing its approach to partnership working across the Thames Valley.

Professor Tony Chapman
Director of Policy & Practice, St Chad’s College, Durham University

Tony will present new findings from the Third Sector Trends survey, offering an independent assessment of the scale, reach and contribution of the VCSE sector across the Thames Valley.

There will also be an opportunity to put questions to both speakers, chaired by William Butler, Chair of the Thames Valley VCSE Health Alliance.

The Assembly will conclude with a panel discussion exploring how population health data, community research and lived experience can be brought together to improve health outcomes and reduce inequalities, featuring:

• Mark Sellman, Chief Information Officer, NHS Thames Valley ICB
• Dr Esther Oenga, Fellow in Community Research, University of Reading

Whether you’re interested in strategic commissioning, community insight, population health or partnership working, the Assembly offers a chance to connect with colleagues from across the Thames Valley and contribute to the conversation about the future of health and care.
