We would like to invite women members and beneficiaries of your organisation to the Reclaim the Night Reading march and rally on Friday 29 November at 5pm, starting at the Reading Town Hall.

This year we are working in partnership with the University of Reading and their Students’ Union and encourage you to invite sisters from across Berkshire and beyond. Reclaim the Night is a very safe and empowering event which asserts our right to feel safe at night without fear of violence.

The first Reclaim the Night march was held in the 1970s following a curfew being placed on women after the Yorkshire Ripper attacks. In protest, women took to the streets with placards and candles and we continue that forty year old tradition this week.

This is a fully inclusive march, all self-defining women are welcome.
