Men’s Loneliness and Social Isolation
“Men’s loneliness is misunderstood, and the solution isn’t just about social contact. Men’s mental health is well established as having a distinct character, with notions of masculinity often said to be at the root of the problem.” King’s College, London.
Feedback from previous Befriending Forums highlights an interest in exploring the experience of men facing loneliness and social isolation. Local groups will be sharing what they offer local men, why it’s needed, how people can access it, and the impact it has.
It will be an opportunity for people to find out more about supporting clients and their carers, who are experiencing loneliness.
