Reading Borough Council in collaboration with it’s partners Age UK and others is again marking the United Nations Day of Older People on 1st October with a celebration at the Broad Street mall in Reading.
Like similar events up and down this country and farther afield, we will be showing the tremendous work of lots of organisations. These help highlight all that’s best in later life. There are free NHS health checks available and a short programme of regular demos through the day. The event will be opened at 10.00 am by the Mayor of Reading. All welcome, of whatever age!
