Reading Borough Council would like to invite you to attend its first engagement session to discuss plans for the Closing the Gap 2 procurement. This will be an opportunity for them to share their timescales and intentions for this procurement with you and will be an opportunity for you to be part of that process by sharing your feedback.
For those that are not aware, Reading Borough Council currently fund 13 contracts across 3 Lots via a framework they call ‘Closing the Gap’ (CTG). CTG is a framework whereby multiple funding sources are utilised to fund the voluntary and community sector to deliver preventative adult social care services. There are 13 contracts currently in place under CTG.
The total value of the current CTG contracts are £1.3 million per annum and are scheduled from November 2022 to October 2025.
The current CTG framework is commissioned around three outcomes, which are as follows:
- Outcome 1: To support people to get out and stay out of poverty.
- Outcome 2: To build resilience, independence, and well-being, connecting people to support and focusing on individual and community strengths.
- Outcome 3: To support and sustain the Reading Voluntary & Community Sector infrastructure.
If you are interested in learning more and providing feedback, please attend the above session. No need to book. This session is in-person at the Council Chambers, Civic Centre, Bridge Street, Reading.
