Effective partnership work between Reading Borough Council and the voluntary sector in Reading is vital to achieving positive outcomes for the people of Reading.
Join us to discuss how your organisation works in partnership with RBC and how this could be developed. Share your experience of what’s working well or not so well and ideas for improvement.
Background to the Reading Compact
Following an independent review of the working relationship between the Council and the Voluntary and Community Sector, a revised Compact document was a specific request from the sector. The Compact was co-produced with the Council and many of the Voluntary and Community Sector organisations from across the borough.
The aim of the Compact is to create and embed mechanisms that ensure our work to improve the lives of our residents and communities is effectively joined up, that our complementary efforts are targeted where they can add most value, and that each partner supports the other as much as it can.
The success of the Compact and the delivery of specific objectives are reviewed jointly each year by the Council and the VCS, with the results and successes communicated across the borough.
This meeting is an opportunity for you to contribute.
